On Christmas day, after the rest of our family left to go back home, Papa, M'laine, Dad, Mommy, and I went outside to shoot some hoops. It was lots of fun! Dad held me up so I could dunk a few.

Dad and I started playing a really fun game; this is how it went: Dad would throw the soccer ball up on the roof where I couldn't see it anymore...then it would roll down, and I'd go CRAZY!!! It was so much fun :)

...Here it comes!!! This mostly wraps up our wonderful trip to M'laine and Papa's house for Christmas!

Christmas, Part 3

We woke up Christmas morning to find lots of presents and my very own stocking, stuffed just for me! It was all very exciting. I have such sweet cousins who love to give me hugs and kisses!Here is Mommy helping me open up my letter/train set.And here I am putting the letters together. It spells O-L-I-V-E-R and has an engine and caboose. What a fun train!I also got a Baby Elmo doll who giggles and cries and sucks on his bottle and says lots of cute things. I love my baby Elmo, and I can say "Elmo" really well, too! I've had a bit of a cough and runny nose for the past few weeks (it's clearing up finally), so each night before bed, M'laine got me all fixed up with Mentholatum on my chest and feet. Then she would warm up a towel and put it on my tummy. It felt soo good; I loved it!

M'laine got a special train from Papa for Christmas, so Dad and Papa got it set up that afternoon. It sounds just like a real train, and it even has smoke coming out of it! I loved watching that train go round and round on it's track.
On Wednesday night, we had a fun get-together at Papa and M'laine's house for all Dad and Mom's friends and their babies. It was really fun, cause these were all friends that Dad grew up with, and now they all have babies of their own! We had not met a few of these kids, so it was a really special time. Here I am with my good friend, Ethan. His daddy is Jacob, who is one of Dad's best friends from growing up. Christmas weekend was the first time Ethan and I ever met, and we hit it off right away. We met at church on Sunday night, and Mommy really wishes she had her camera with her when we met. We were on the ground, eye-to-eye, when we were introduced, and I leaned forward and hugged Ethan with both arms and gave him a big kiss! Ethan thought it was fun and got all excited. We hugged and kissed again, and all the parents thought it was so cute! Here we are looking at M'laine's Christmas train.While the parents were chatting, Ethan thought it would be fun to pull me around in my leggo wagon. It was fun!

What a group!And here's the whole group together! Alex's mommy and daddy: Uncle Tim & Auntie Sarah, Mom, Dad & me, Rebekah's mommy and daddy: Scott & Amanda, Jack's mommy and daddy: Mark & Laura (and baby #2 on the way), Sadie and Ethan's mommy and daddy: Jacob & Kelly (and baby #3 on the way), and Will Franklin's mommy and daddy: Joey & Jennifer. Whew, that's a big group! Later, Abbey and Steven came with Luke, Emma Grace, and Lauren.Here Luke and I are looking at M'laine's special Nutcracker that plays music and dances around. We were all mesmerized by it! I could watch it over and over and over again.Here are Dad's 4 special friends from his growing-up years. Uncle Tim, Jacob, Scott, and Mark. It was fun to have them all together again, especially with all their babies!And here's Dad's special singing group from his childhood, Rock Solid. Dad was 12 years old when Rock Solid starting singing together, and they sang up until Dad graduated high school. They traveled around the country to different churches and events to sing, and they were a hit. They even recorded a few albums. This was the first time in about 5 or 6 years that Rock Solid sang together again, and it was so special! They sounded great, and everyone loved hearing them sing together again.

Christmas, Part 2

We're very sorry that our Christmas adventures are coming to you in such slow increments.

On Monday we all loaded up and went to Grandmommie's house (M'laine's mommy). 2 of M'laine's sisters were there with their families, and it was fun to see everyone. Grandmommie has a lake in her backyard, and I loved looking at the ducks! Here's a picture of all of Grandmommie's grandkids and great-grandkids (missing a few who couldn't make it).(The above picture is out of order, but I couldn't move it or else you wouldn't be able to blow it up. So, we're sorry - we're skipping back to Saturday and then will move forward to Grandmommie's house again.)

On Saturday night, Mommy and Dad went to a bunko party at Uncle Tim's mommy's house. It was happening past my bedtime, so I got to stay at Papa and M'laine's house with them. Mom and Dad had a really fun time, and here's a picture of the group that was there. Lots of good friends of Dad's from his growing up years and all the spouses - they all have so much fun when they get together, which is not often enough. Fun friends!

We even got to throw those little popper firecrackers (you know, the ones you just throw on the ground and they "pop!") - it was really fun! I popped a few all by myself.

Here we are on the way back home that night. Payton entertained me in the car, and I loved gently stroking her hair. She's a sweet cousin.
And here was one of my favorite things to do at M'laine and Papa's house: get the mops out! The broom is also my favorite. Out of all the toys I had to play with there, I favored the mop and broom :) And don't you like the fun candy-cane personalized sweatshirt M'laine got me?!

Christmas, Part 1

Since we have so many pictures to post and so many things to tell you, we're going to post them in "parts." Here is Part 1.

We arrived at Papa and M'laine's house on Friday. Saturday morning when I woke up, my cousins Lauren and Alyssa were there too! Lauren fed me my oatmeal for breakfast, and I always love to point at Mickey and Minnie on the high chair at Papa and M'laine's house.
Next in order was playing the piano. My cousin Lauren takes lessons and is really good! (And so is Alyssa!) Lauren was very nice to let me play along with her. I was very careful and gentle with the piano keys and love playing!
Papa and M'laine have mistletoe growing in some of their trees in the back yard, so Papa and Uncle Dave cut some down. Dad and I had to test it out.
On Saturday Papa and M'laine decided it would be best for me to open one of my presents so I could play with it for the weekend - it was a super-cool John Deere riding tractor!! I can honk the horn and the seat opens up and there are some little farm animals in there that make sounds. It's a very fun tractor!
Later that night we decided that everyone should open one present. Since our family is so big, all the mommies and daddies draw names, and the cousins draw names. So we opened our exchange gifts. I got a really neat leggo-in-a-wagon set from my cousin Holland!
I liked it right away...
...and mostly I like to get in the wagon and ride around!
Us kids got to open one more present - the one from Uncle Tony and Aunt Shannon. Aunt Shannon wrapped mine in cool camo paper! I had fun tearing it apart. They got me some really cool magnatized dinosaurs that go on the fridge! I've had lots of fun playing with them since we've been home.
Papa and M'laine have an exercise glider in their room, and anytime I could get away to get back there, I was trying it out. M'laine was sweet to help me.
And here cousin Lauren and I are looking at all our stockings! Boy, do we have a big family!

Don't worry, we're still alive!!

Despite what you may fear, we have not fallen off the face of the planet! We are back from our Christmas vacation at Papa and M'laines house and are recovering from a late New Year's Eve. We have close to 300 pictures to sort through and figure out which ones we want to share with you. (Mommy says it's overwhelming.) Don't worry, we will get on the ball and get some pictures up soon! I have so much fun stuff to show you!
