Flop-Flops

So I'm really into flip-flops these days - well, I like to call them flop-flops. M'laine got me some really cool ones that I like, but I just don't like to wear them quite yet. You see, I don't really understand why anyone would want to wear that little thingy between their toes. It feels so weird! But I'm quite fascinated with Mommy and Daddy's flop-flops and love to try them on.

I also like trying on Dad's jacket. Mommy rolled up the sleeves for me...

Then I wanted to zip it up...

So Mommy helped. It might look a little big to you, but it sure was fun to play in!

Update on my little brother

We don't have any great pictures of Mommy's current belly, but Dad spontaneously snapped one the other day while Mommy was making my lunch. It'll give you a bit of an idea of how big my brother is getting! Mommy is officially 23 weeks along, and she and my brother are both healthy and great. No big news to report on! We'll try to get some better pictures here soon.

Here are some pictures from the past week.

One of the games my Aunt Jenna gave me for Christmas is Hullabaloo (a Cranium game). Every now and then I really want to play! It has these neat pads that you spread out on the floor and then watch an interactive DVD. This was the first time that I actually wanted to play with the pads and do what the guy on the TV said to do. It sure was fun!

Did I mention that I really love stickers? Except the thing is, the stickers don't stay stuck to any particular thing very often. I stick them, then peel them off and stick them to something else, then peel them, then stick them...you get the idea. My Nemo stickers started out on my hands...then went to my legs...

...then my cheeks....and to all sorts of other places in this house. Then they lost their stickiness. Stickers are so fun!

This week was a little bit of a bummer because Mommy got a stomach bug for a few days. Since Dad wanted to try to stay healthy, he slept out on the couch one of the nights. The next morning when I got up, I came out and laid my animals next to him...

...and snuggled in. We had fun on the couch, Dad and me.

Yesterday was a really nice afternoon, so Daddy and I spent some nice time playing outside while Mommy got some things in the kitchen done. I rode purple in the grass, which was really fun! Mommy caught a picture of me through the kitchen window.

Then she figured she probably needed to come out and take more pictures, cause I was having so much fun! I thought I'd make a "train" with purple and my bike, and I was actually pushing my bike forward with purple.

Needless to say, I was a little upset when it was time to come inside. These days I just want to be outside all the time.

This morning while Mommy was sitting on the couch drinking her coffee, I thought her cup looked like the perfect place to plop my basketball. Before Mommy even knew what I was thinking, this is what happened.

This afternoon after my nap, Mommy, Daddy and I headed down to Uncle Tim Tim, Auntie Sarah and Alex's house. We played for awhile and then headed out to dinner. It's a little bitter-sweet these days cause soon (in 2 weeks, to be exact), they will be moving far away. Well, only about 4-5 hours away, but it's really far compared to the 15 minutes we drive now. Oh how we will miss them...words cannot express. But for now we are enjoying our last few weeks with them HERE! So Uncle Tim Tim (that's what I call him... "Tim-Tim"), Alex, and I took advantage of a photo op.

And while we were at dinner, we didn't even know it, but it was hailing and tornado-ing at our house. No tornadoes actually touched down by our house, but they were sighted all around our town. When we got home we found some hail in our yard - about quarter-sized hail and a bit bigger. We're kinda glad we missed out on it! There sure have been some crazy and exciting storms around our house this spring! Mommy says rain is okay, but this "severe" stuff is too stressful.

Our Trip to Papa & M'laine's House

Last weekend Mommy, Daddy, Bella and I took a trip in our car for 5 hours to Papa and M'laine's house. Boy, oh boy, did we have fun! You see, Papa has a "tractor" that I LOVE to ride on. So my weekend was pretty much spent riding Papa's tractor.

I even got to steer the wheel by myself! Everyone was quite impressed at how well I steered. And of course you can't ride a tractor without making the tractor noises.

When I wasn't riding Papa's tractor, you could find me playing basketball on the hoop that my Daddy grew up playing on. I pretty much just love being outside...all the time.

I also really enjoy wearing these glasses of mine - they used to be sunglasses, but one of the lenses popped out, and we don't know where it went. So Mom popped the other one out and now they're my "professor" glasses. I keep them on for awhile and just play. Here I am playing with a special singing and dancing doggy.

There was an annual festival going on downtown on Saturday, so we thought we'd go check it out. We saw some antique cars, ate hot dogs, and heard some great live Irish music. There was even a big horse that I hung out with for awhile, and I also got a balloon! After a detour home for naps, we went back out downtown and got lots of crawfish and shrimp and came home for a messy (but yummy, so the grown-ups said) dinner on the back porch.

While we were downtown, we saw this bubble machine by one of the stores, and we had to stop so I could play with the bubbles!

M'laine and I topped off our fun day by sitting on a basketball and soccer ball and brushing our teeth. :)

You get to do such fun things when you go to grandparents houses!!

We sure had a special weekend. Thanks so much Papa and M'laine for such a fun time!!

My First Music Program

Last Monday at school, I had my first music program! My class sang 2 songs with motions, and it was a whole new experience for me. Now I know what Dad feels like all the time on stage with all those people out there and the lights on you! My teachers had told Mommy that I knew lots of the motions and did them all the time in our rehearsals. But when it came to the performance? Well, I got a little bit of stage fright. Basically, I just wanted to sit there and look at everyone.

I did get just a few of the motions in though...

The class just one step older than me got to use shakers for their songs, so maybe next time I'll get to use instruments! It was a fun time, and Mommy and Daddy were very proud of me.

After our part of the program was over, it was time for me to go play on the playground with my class, and it was time for Mommy and Daddy to go back to their meeting at work. They have to pass the playground on their walk back to their offices, and they saw me sliding down the slide and having so much fun!
