A look into our world

I had some more visitors yesterday, and we had so much fun! I had fun sleeping, while they had fun looking at me and holding me and taking lots of pictures. The top picture is of my Mommy and Daddy's friend Sarah, Tim's sister Leah, and Tim's mom, Vicki. Then of course there is Tim holding me with Daddy. Tim's dad Bill came to visit me too, along with Tim's Grandma. Thanks so much for coming to visit me...I'm so glad you got to come!

Well, today was a little bit sad. We had to take Grandma and Grandpa to the airport for them to go home. Mommy and I were really big and we didn't cry...until we got back home, that is. We miss you Grandma and Grandpa! Thank you for taking such good care of us, and for playing with me and snuggling with me and loving me so much! I had a great time with you, and I can't wait to see you in a few months! We love you.

Well, last night was a new milestone in our family. Grandma and Grandpa went over to spend the night with my cousin Jamey, so it was just Mommy and Daddy and me all by ourselves all night long! And guess what? We did great. I think my parents might just be figuring this taking-care-of-me stuff out. It's a good thing, because Grandma and Grandpa are leaving tomorrow to go back home to Colorado. We're not really talking about it much yet, though, cause it's not until tomorrow, and we're a little bit sad that they're leaving. So after tomorrow, we're on our own. It's been so fun to have Grandma and Grandpa here, and in a few months I'll get to go to Colorado to see them!

Today I had some more visitors. My Mommy and Daddy's friends Tim and Sarah came over to see me, and Sarah even changed my diaper! I stayed awake the whole time they were here, just like a big boy. I sure like them a lot. Thanks for coming to visit, Tim and Sarah!

Mommy and Grandma actually caught me awake in all these pictures! That's not too common these days, as I'm a pretty big fan of sleeping. The picture with just Mommy is from yesterday, and the other two are from today. I did so good during my bath, and I hardly cried at all. I think once my cord falls off and I can have real baths, I will like them a lot. I'll make sure and let you know!

This is actually a picture of me having a little bit of tummy time with Bella a few days ago, cause Mommy doesn't have a picture of our first outing. I really liked tummy time...so much that I thought I'd fall asleep during it. And Bella really liked sniffing me. She likes me a lot.

But the really exciting news is that I am a really healthy boy! I had my first Dr. appointment yesterday, and I shocked them all with my weight. I guess most babies lose weight in their first week of life, but not me. I gained weight! I weighed 7.10 at birth, lost down to 7.8 the next day, and yesterday, a week later, I weighed 8 lbs 1.5 oz! That means I gained 9.5 whole ounces! Mommy asked the Dr. if that was okay, and he said it's great. She asked him what that means that I gained weight, and he said she's making buttermilk. Well, whatever kind of milk it is, I think it's pretty tasty! Mommy's just glad to know that I'm getting enough food and growing just like I should.
